FAQs
Here at Jungle Parc, we know that taking part in a high wire, treetop activity course might be daunting for you, particularly if you have never attempted anything like it before. We understand that you likely have many questions about your day at Jungle Parc, what is provided for you, what you need to bring, and so on.
We have compiled the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions from our visitors into one handy page for your convenience. Whatever your query, check here first to see if it has already been answered.
Both our Adventurer and Xplorer courses involve a lot of movement through the trees, so we recommend comfy clothes that you don’t mind getting a little grubby in. Trainers or shoes with a good grip are the best choice for footwear, while open-toed sandals and flip-flops are strictly forbidden. If you come on a cold or rainy day, you should wear the appropriate clothing for the weather, be that a hat and winter woollies to protect against the cold or a waterproof jacket for the rain.
Our courses are still perfectly safe, even if it’s windy or rainy. So long as you bring the right clothing (as detailed in the above question), these kinds of conditions make it more exciting. We only close our sites in the event of extreme weather conditions. Should this happen on the day of your booking, we will notify you of any planned closures and allow you to reschedule for another day.
Jungle Parc is a high-wire, treetop adventure course. All visitors will be shown how to use their lifeline by our trained and experienced instructors prior to climbing on the course. So long as you follow our simple safety instructions and know how to operate the life line, there is no way you can fall, and you will be safe at all times.
This happens to the best of us and is nothing to worry about. We want all of our visitors to enjoy themselves in a safe and exciting environment. If you get scared while attempting any of our high-wire activities and want to come down, our trained staff will be right below you. We can help you complete the activity by giving you the support and instruction you need. If you still want to come down from the course, we can help bring you down.
It depends on the age of the children and which course you are taking. For our Adventurer Course, your group needs a minimum of 1 adult for every 5 children. That being said, having more adults to help is always better, particularly if you have younger children in the group. Adult supervisors on the Adventurer Course do not have to pay admission and can walk beneath the course itself.
At our Warrington site only, adults are allowed to climb on the red and black Adventurer course alongside their children. Before booking this experience, check our Rules and Regulations page for age and height limits.
Our Xplorer Course is for older children, aged 10+, with a minimum height restriction of 1.35m (4’ 6″). Any children under 14 require adult supervision on the course itself, at a ratio of 1 adult for every 2 children. Since the adults on this course will be taking part in the activities, they will need to purchase a ticket.
All three of our UK sites are well-situated within easy reach of the car park.
Walton Hall Gardens, Warrington: there is a Pay & Display car park off nearby Walton Lea Road, a mere 3-minute walk from the site. There is a tarmac path that runs from the car park to the Jungle Parc site for the benefit of our disabled guests.
Irchester Country Park, Northampton: we are situated right next to the lower car park for easy access. Disabled visitors can park directly opposite our log cabin.
Lydiard Park, Swindon: we are positioned directly opposite the Hook Street car park for ease of access. We have a designated disabled parking area just across a short, accessible pathway.
There are both toilets and hand washing facilities at all of our UK sites, within easy walking distance of our log cabin base. Since each of our high wire courses takes between 1½ hours and 2 hours to complete, we recommend visiting these facilities before you start.
While dogs are welcome at our site, be aware that there may be children as young as four running around. If your dog requires a muzzle or is not good around children or strangers, we recommend leaving them at home for the day. If you do bring your dog to one of our Jungle Parc locations, we ask that you keep them on a lead and pick up any mess they might make.
Prices vary depending on the location, the course, and the number of people in your group. Check out the location page for each site to see the most up-to-date pricing.
Discount codes will be offered from time to time and are subject to terms and conditions. These offer codes can be redeemed at the point of purchase when booking online. Additional discounts are offered to all schools and organised charities.
Bookings can be made immediately through the online form on our home page and at each location page. Once your payment has successfully cleared, you will receive an immediate confirmation email showing your unique booking reference number and a breakdown of your order. Simply present this to the Jungle Parc staff on arrival. Your PayPal receipt will also be sent to the same email address. If neither of these emails shows up in your inbox, be sure to check your spam or junk folder.
If you book tickets online, you can pay using PayPal or through our secure payment service with a major credit or debit card.
If paying on the day, please be aware that our sites only accept payment in cash. Alternatively, you can book online while on-site using your smartphone, and you will get an instant confirmation email.
If you are booking from a school or corporate account, send your group request to info@jungleparc.co.uk so that we can invoice you directly.
Not only do we accept them, but we also offer incredible deals for group bookings by organisations, schools, and charities. Visit our Schools page and our Corporate page for more information.
The Jungle Parc website uses industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 128-bit encryption to ensure your card details are processed securely. No card details are stored on our server, nor are they sent via unsecure methods such as email or an unencrypted data connection.
All Jungle Parc payments are processed by PayPal through their secure servers.
If you wish to cancel your booking or change the number of visitors that will be attending, you need to let us know a minimum of 48 hours before your booked time slot. Send an email to maria@jungleparc.co.uk, quoting your name (as it appears on the booking form), your PayPal Receipt ID, and your reason for cancelling.
If you arrive on the day of the event with fewer people in your group than expected, you will not be entitled to any refund.
If you have booked our Xplorer Course for young children under 1.35m (4’ 6″) by mistake, we can provide you with a full refund, so long as you inform us a minimum of 48 hours before your booked time slot. If you only inform us on the day of your session, we will try to move the smaller children to our Adventurer course, depending on availability. We will also try to move any adults in your group to a later time slot so everybody can redeem their ticket.
If you need to be brought down from the course because you are scared, no refunds will be given. As a treetop activity course, Jungle Parc involves carrying out a range of activities at high levels within the tree canopy. If you know that you are not good with heights, we recommend taking a look at our courses in detail before booking.
