Treetop Activity Days in Northampton

Our Northampton site is located in the beautiful Irchester Country Park. It’s only a 20-minute drive from Northampton and a 30-minute drive from nearby Milton Keynes.

The park was once an ironstone quarry and has a network of walking trails of varying lengths throughout its 83 hectares of mixed woodland, making it the perfect location for a pleasant day out with friends and family. There is plenty of wildlife to see as you walk around the park, plus fun and educational attractions like the Irchester Narrow Gauge Railway Museum.

Jungle Parc Northampton

The Jungle Parc site is located directly opposite the children’s play area and the Quarryman’s Rest cafe, within easy walking distance of the car park. Look out for our log cabin as you arrive.

Northampton High-wire Courses

Our Irchester Country Park site includes both of our Jungle Parc courses, offering treetop activities for both children and adults.

Adventurer Course

Our Adventurer Course is designed for children from the age of four and upwards (with a minimum height restriction of 1.05m (3’ 6″)). The course has over 50 fun exercises for the children to take part in, with a range of difficulties to suit every ability and confidence level.

Xplorer Course

The Xplorer Course is higher and more demanding, offering a great challenge for bigger kids and adults. Children must be 10 years of age or older and at least 1.35m (4’ 6″) tall to tackle the course. Suspended high in the tree canopy, the Xplorer Course also includes more than 50 exciting activities.

Northampton FAQs

Irchester Country Park has its own on-site parking area. There is a charge of £5.20 per vehicle for up to 8 hours, or £7.20 for up to 12 hours. Payment can be made by cash, card, or via a Pay by Phone app.

If you are booked in for a Jungle Parc session from 16:00 onwards, be sure to park your car in the upper car park, as the gate for the lower car park closes at 17:00.

There are outdoor picnic areas dotted around the park (follow the signs for directions) where you can enjoy your own refreshments in the park’s idyllic surroundings; just be sure to tidy up after yourselves for the benefit of the park and its guests.

You will also find the Quarryman’s Rest Cafe, which serves delicious snacks, sandwiches, cakes, and drinks—just what you need after a busy session on our high-wire activities for kids and adults. The cafe also has a takeaway kiosk, meaning you barely need to break your stride if you’re enjoying a walk and just need food and drink on the go!

If you’re arriving as a large group and want to eat and drink at the Quarryman’s Rest Cafe, we recommend calling them on 01933 443 857 or visiting their website at www.quarrymansrestcafe.co.uk and booking in advance to guarantee a table.

In addition to the Jungle Parc treetop course for kids and adults, there is plenty to see and do in Irchester Country Park. There is a children’s play area directly next to the Quarryman’s Rest Cafe, and plenty of walking, orienteering, and mountain bike trails that take you right through the park. On the way, you will see plenty of local wildlife, from squirrels and hedgehogs to Muntjac deer and stoats. There is also the Irchester Narrow Gauge Railway Museum, which is only open on Sundays.
